The whole city, one scene — and we've never met.

Bengaluru's DJs share the same clubs, the same crowds, the same 2 a.m. load-outs. We follow each other online, play the same rooms on different nights, and somehow never end up in the same room ourselves.

So we built the one that was missing. No headliner. No agenda. Nobody on the decks. Just peers — from open-format to techno, from two years in to twenty — in a room where everyone's equal and nobody's performing.

Why this exists

The room is the start, not the point.

Bengaluru's DJs have never had a body of their own — no shared standards, no collective voice with the venues and promoters who hire us, nowhere to turn when the work stops. We're building one. It starts with a room.

Is it free?

Completely. No ticket, no cover, no catch. Just RSVP so we know you're coming and can have a name badge ready at the door.

Do I have to play or perform?

No — and that's the whole point. Nobody's on the decks. No headliner, no set times, no pressure. It's a hang, not a gig.

What if I don't know anyone there?

Perfect — so did most of the room. It's hosted: the people running it make introductions, so you're never left standing alone. Most arrive not knowing anyone and leave with numbers.

I'm new to DJing — is it for me?

Yes. The room runs from under-2-years to 15+-year veterans, and everyone's a peer. Leave the ego at the door — nobody's ranking anyone here.

Can I bring a DJ friend?

Please do — DJs bringing DJs is exactly how this grows. Just have them RSVP too so we've got their badge.

What actually happens?

You walk in, grab your badge, get a drink, and meet the people behind the flyers you've seen all over the city. Swap war stories, talk the business, find subs and collaborators. Come and go as you like.

How do I get there / parking?

Editions move around the city, always somewhere central and easy to reach by cab or auto. The venue goes out with the details once the date is set.

Is there a dress code?

None. Come as you are — straight from a gig, from work, whatever. It's a room of DJs, not a red carpet.

Is this a one-off?

No. Editions run monthly. Edition 01 was July at Watson's; the Collective is being built as a permanent body for the city's DJs — the room first, then the things a room makes possible.

Who runs it?

Nobody, really — and that's deliberate. It was started by three DJs working in this city, Shain, Martin and DJ Vic, but it belongs to the room. What the Collective becomes gets decided by the people who turn up.
